Sample Final Learning Records
From WRIT-2510 Spring 2007 Wiki
Hi my dear WWWWers,
The semester is finally drawing to a close, and it's time to write your final Learning Records. Although the materials linked below are not properly formatted using the template, they are good examples of A level material. Although your document might not be a long (in terms of actual length), it should include examples and demonstrate your rhetorical sophistication.
As you write your final Learning Record there are (at least) two things to keep in mind.
1. You should be making a claim for your development and progress across the dimensions of learning and the course strands. Your final learning record should reflect changes and development from the beginning of the semester until now. The examples below include both the mid-term and the final learning records, so you can see the relationship between the two documents. You should include a variety of evidence and you should support all claims you make about your learning with evidence. You should clearly organize your essay using the dimensions of learning and the course strands as a frame.
2. Unlike the examples below, you are expected to have all materials copied and pasted into the template. You should copy and paste my comment and your peer moderators' comments into the appropriate sections for comments. Additionally, I'd like you to include a separate Word document including all of your observations.
3. Work samples should be named and identified in the template, and put in the appropriate folder in the teacher folder. You will turn your work in electronically.
If you have any questions, feel free to come talk to me in office hours. Good luck, Dr. J
